Choose from the variety of organizations below to find out how you can donate your time or money and improve the world...one wish at a time.

SOJOURN

Sojourn is a project sponsored by the Ocean Park Community Center in Santa Monica. Established in 1977, Sojourn provides battered women and their children a safe space to regroup, rebuild, and reestablish their self-esteem and lives. Our diverse programs serve women and children of all classes, cultures and religions, regardless of economic circumstances, physical and mental disabilities or immigration status, including those who are traditionally underserved, such as lesbians, elderly women, prostitutes, women with HIV, and the substance-dependant. Sojourn fosters solidarity among women and children, educates the community and society, and is committed to effecting political and social change through grassroots activism and a philosophy of individual empowerment. |

Help The Homeless Mitzvah is a non profit organization in Los Angeles with the aim of gathering toiletries to give to homeless people. It is their mission that when the homeless apply for jobs, they will be treated with more respect. This organization is the vision of two thoughtful, responsible and hardworking 6th graders in Los Angeles.

The Coalition for Clean Air (CCA) is the only statewide organization advocating exclusively for healthy air for all Californians. Since 1971, CCA has worked to restore clean air in California through advocacy, outreach and education.

The goal of Women for Women International is to take women from victim to survivor to active citizen. With the Emergency Response Fund, Women for Women International can move quickly to help women in post-conflict societies. You can join the Global Voices program, and support skills and leadership training for a community of women. As a sponsor, you can provide direct financial aid and emotional support through letter writing. For example, $27 a month for one year will provide lifesaving assistance to a woman in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. |
